I tried other, less expensive, sharpeners but they didn't have the power to sharpen my chainsaw chain. This one does the job, over and over again. Iv only charged this thing one time and it has sharpened at least 7 blades that I can think of. As long as the motor holds up over time this will be the last sharpener I ever bye
